"His name was PF"
PF stood for perfect feet as he has unique markings on his legs. When I
brought home our 4 month old puppy from Adopt-a-Pet in November 2005, my
husband renamed him Mister Bo Jangles. We affectionately call him Bo or Bobo.
His mother Tippi, an Aussie Shepherd, came into the shelter with 2 week old
pups. Bobo was the only pup left for adoption and he was full of energy,
jumped all over you and wanted to lick whatever body part he could get his
little tongue on.
We were concerned that our 11 year old Irish Setter/Retriever cross Peco
would feel left out since she had been an only dog for 10 years. She
quickly took to Bobo and having a playmate took years off her life. She has
taught him many things including how to jump up into the back of the truck
or into the car to go for a ride and how to swim in the lake. She also
taught him to raid the trash can in my office.
After some obedience training by me and my husband, Bo has turned into the
perfect farm dog. He has chased a coyote off the property and does a great
job of keeping the deer out of the yard and my flowers. He loves to go trail
riding when my husband and I ride the horses. And he loves the cats,
sometimes too much with a big lick in their face.
I wanted a dog that would bark as our old dog was taught not to bark. I also
needed a "protector", Bo is the perfect dog. He barks at anyone that comes to
the house and he makes them think he is pretty scary with all that barking
and the hair up on the back of his neck, but if I tell him its ok he quickly
turns his barks into licks.
Looking at the photos on the new Adopt-A-Pet photo page I know Cody is Bo's
brother and I am guessing Kodah is too as they have the same face. Thank you
Adopt-A-Pet for a dog that not only has "perfect feet" but is the perfect
dog for us.
