2006 "FOUR PAWS DOG WALK"

We would like to take a moment to say "Thank You" to all who attended our 13th annual Dog walk!  Each and every year it just gets better and better.

This year's walk was probably the best.  With the hard work and dedication of our volunteers we were able to add quite a bit to the walk.  This year it was not just a walk but an event!    Some of the new things added to this walk were:  A Dog trick contest, Costume contest, Drug dog demonstration, vendor booths, Micro Chipping, Canine Good Citizen testing, food booth, Agility Course and a LIVE broadcast from the voice of Mason County KMAS 1030!

The festivities were kicked off  at 9:00 a.m. with County Commissioner Jayni Kamin cutting the ribbon to open the course.  After stopping by the registration booth the walkers enjoyed the marked course on the beautiful Huff-n-Puff trail.  Once back at the start we were able to enjoy the day and participate in or just watch the other activities.  (more photo's posted below.)

We would also like to say "Thank You" to all of our sponsors.... Stilvalley Training and Grooming, Canine Basic Training, K9 Kapers Training, Claws and Paws Pet Shop, Pert 'n' Pretty Grooming, Safeway, Wal Mart, Shelton Veterinary Clinic, Dog Bite Prevention of Washington, KMAS Radio, Hill's Science Diet, Crazy Deb's Canine Cookies, Fred Meyer, Shelton Journal, Heather's Treasures, Stilvalley Service Dogs, AVID Microchips, Washington State Patrol, Animal House Grooming, City of Shelton Parks Department and Mark Reed Hospital.   Without  your continued support our "Four Paws Dog Walk" would not of been possible!

Mark your calendars for next years walk...  remember it's always the last Saturday in June.  We hope to see you there!
